Fans of the legendary anime franchise will soon have another chance to experience its iconic score in a grand orchestral setting. The Evangelion Wind Symphony is officially returning for two major performances in late 2026, bringing the powerful brass arrangements of Shiro Sagisu's music to audiences in Tokyo and Hyogo.
The 2026 tour continues the tradition established in 2018, featuring Masamichi Amano as the conductor and arranger. Highlighting the event is the return of legendary vocalist Yoko Takahashi, known worldwide for “A Cruel Angel's Thesis,” alongside renowned guest trumpeter Eric Miyashiro.
The performances are split between two of Japan’s premier wind ensembles: the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra will handle the Tokyo show at the beginning of October, followed by the Osaka Shion Wind Orchestra for the Hyogo performance in November.
For those looking to secure seats early, pre-orders are currently live via the EVA-EXTRA official app until April 26. General sales are slated to open on July 4, 2026. Given the enduring popularity of the series and the prestige of the performers involved, tickets are expected to be in high demand.
