
Magica Quartet has announced another delay for Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgisnacht Rising, which had most recently been set for a February 2026 release.
The update was shared earlier today, with the team citing production-related reasons for the delay. Alongside the announcement, they apologized to fans who have been waiting for the film and said they are continuing work to make sure the final result lives up to expectations. A new release date is planned to be announced sometime in February 2026.

Walpurgisnacht Rising serves as the official sequel to Rebellion and continues the story of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, with the main staff and voice cast returning. The film was first announced for winter 2024 and has since seen multiple delays, with the most recent trailer released in December 2025.
