Weekly Shonen Magazine has teamed up with world famous budget retailer Don Quixote for the publication's very first offline store.
Starting on July 25, a new section in the Shibuya, East Ikebukuro and Osaka Shinsekai stores will open under the name 'Shonen Magazine Shop'. The product lineup has already been revealed on the Don Quixote website, mainly consisting of acrylic stands and other apparel from three series: Fairy Tail, Attack on Titan and The Quintessential Quintuplets. Customers who spend over 2200 on products from the store will receive an exclusive postcard with their purchase.

According to a spokesperson for Don Quixote, the idea for the Shonen Magazine Shop came about from the success of previous collaborations with the brand. In particular, one recent Blue Lock pop up store proved very popular among the chain's clientele. The lineup of products, in turn, was chosen specifically with this customer base in mind: young people and foreign tourists.
Of course, offline stores based around manga publications is nothing new. Weekly Shonen Jump opened the very first Jump Store many years ago, so there's reason to believe that Weekly Shonen Magazine is a little late to the party. Nevertheless, teaming up with an existing retailer should help to offset some of the costs, as well as tap into an established customer base.
