Italian fashion giant DIESEL has announced a major crossover project with Square Enix’s flagship MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV. Anchored around the core ethos of “brave,” the project bridges streetwear, art, and gaming culture.
The centerpiece of the partnership is the upcoming DIESEL x FINAL FANTASY XIV capsule collection launching in September 2026. To mark the release, a series of retail pop-up stores will be held at department stores in key locations in Japan:
| City | Venue | Dates (2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Tokyo | Isetan Shinjuku | Sept 16 – Sept 22 |
| Osaka | Hankyu Umeda | Oct 7 – Oct 13 |
| Fukuoka | Iwataya Main Store | Oct 14 – Oct 20 |
Items will also be available on DIESEL's official online store.
Beyond apparel, the collaboration extends into art and digital gaming. In October 2026, Tokyo’s DIESEL ART GALLERY in Shibuya will host an exhibition featuring original collage art by renowned Japanese artist Kosuke Kawamura, who offers his own visual spin on the crossover. In addition, Final Fantasy XIV players will be able to participate in an officially sponsored in-game styling contest. Applications open on August 7, 2026, on the special site for the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2026 in Tokyo.
Further details regarding the collection's lookbook and product availability will be published on the official DIESEL x FINAL FANTASY XIV landing page starting August 28, 2026.
