McDonald’s Japan has launched the massive “Golden Campaign” in collaboration with J-pop superstar Ayumi Hamasaki, running from October 2 through December 31, 2026. Centered on the concept of “golden moments”—special times spent enjoying good food and music—the three-month event offers exclusive experiences through the "My McDonald's Rewards" program on the official McDonald's Japan app.

The highlight of the campaign is the “Golden Live,” an exclusive one-night-only concert taping set for November 21 at a secret Tokyo location. Following the campaign theme, the stage is styled as a retro McDonald’s Diner, complete with Ayu and her on-stage support performing in costumes inspired by a McDonald’s crew uniforms with a setlist handpicked by Ayu herself. Only 200 fans (aged 18 and older) will win passes to attend the taping by redeeming 250 rewards points in the app. For everyone else, the recorded concert will stream on McDonald’s official YouTube channel starting around December 20.
Rewards points can also be used to enter raffles for four limited-edition merch items:

T-Shirt: Entries open Oct 9 – Nov 12 (700 winners)

Long Towel: Entries open Oct 16 – Nov 19 (700 winners)

Plate Set (2-Pack): Entries open Oct 23 – Nov 26 (2,700 winners)

Mug: Entries open Oct 30 – Dec 3 (2,700 winners)
Every single person who enters a raffle receives free downloadable digital content as a bonus. On top of that, starting October 14, Ayu will guest-host McDonald's in-store radio program, Music Value, broadcasting at locations nationwide.
With additional surprise projects planned throughout the rest of the year, this golden collaboration promises three unforgettable months for J-pop and fast-food fans alike. Full entry details are available now on the McDonald's Japan app and the official campaign website.
