A new compilation film based on The Apothecary Diaries anime will air on Friday Night Roadshow, Japan's prime time broadcasting slot.
Based on the second half of the second season by Toho Animation Studio and OLM, this new version of the original TV series will also feature four minutes of additional footage that leads up to the final scene. Three other movies based on the rest of the series will also air on various streaming services starting on October 31, leading up to Friday Night Roadshow on December 11. Coincidentally enough, that just so happens to be the day that The Apothecary Diaries' first original movie releases in cinemas.

While anime movies are fairly commonplace on Friday Night Roadshow, compilation films are definitely not. The last time that one featured during the time slot was 2022, with a special version of Detective Conan that collated various scenes from the police love story arc. According to TV Guide, 7.6% of Japanese households tuned in for this broadcast.
