Dragon Ball Super is set to be reimagined this year and today a new trailer for the project debuted at the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 event. This definitive “enhanced edition” of the series' first major arc, titled Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, will premiere on Fuji TV in Fall 2026.
The new broadcast promises a complete reconstruction of the original storyline, featuring entirely new animation cuts and polished visuals to bring the battle between Goku and the God of Destruction up to modern standards. The trailer released today highlights this jump in quality, culminating in a brief but tantalizing stinger featuring the iconic villain Frieza.
Goku's legendary voice actress Masako Nozawa and Beerus’s own Koichi Yamadera provided comments alongside the trailer's reveal. Nozawa noted that the updated animation adds a new layer of power to the classic confrontation, while Yamadera expressed pride in Beerus finally taking center stage in the project's title.
Fans can expect the series to bridge the gap between the original Super television run and the theatrical standard of the film it adapted while serving as a fresh entry point for a new generation of fans when it debuts later next year.
