Toei has officially revealed its big Kamen Rider Movie Project for 2026, which marks the franchise’s 55th anniversary. The headline release is a brand-new film set in the world of Kamen Rider Agito, titled Agito – Superpower War –, scheduled to hit theaters across Japan on April 29, 2026.

Given the content of the teaser the timing of the announcement feels fitting, as today marks 24 years since the final episode of Kamen Rider Agito aired (the series itself turns 25 this week). This new film is taking an interesting approach by dropping “Kamen Rider” from its title and seems to be aiming for a more mature, superpower-focused action story.
The creative team from the original Kamen Rider Agito TV series is back, with Ryuta Tasaki directing, Toshiki Inoue writing the script, and Toshihiko Sahashi handling the music. The film will star Jun Kaname returning as Makoto Hikawa/Kamen Rider G3. Toshiki Kashu will also be returning as Shoichi Tsugami/Kamen Rider Agito.
More details about the film, including the mysterious “Kamen Rider Chronicle” teased at the end of the trailer, are expected to be revealed later.
