The Baki spinoff manga about Kaioh getting reincarnated in another world is getting an anime adaptation, opening the door to more possible projects.

For those not aware, Baki Gaiden: Kaioh Retsu Doesn't Mind Getting Isekai'd follows the kenpo master as he wakes up in a fantasy world following his untimely passing in Baki-Dou. Since launching in the pages of Weekly Shonen Champion in November 2020, Kaiou has fought goblins, ogres, demon kings, and is currently journeying the oceans in search of fame and fortune. Sai Ihara provides the story for the series, while Eiji Murai handles art.

While this is definitely the most high concept Baki spinoff, it has plenty of company. As of the time of writing, Keisuke Itagaki's series has no less than twelve different related side stories by other authors, most recently Baki Gaiden: Shin Chiharu about the gang leader Chiharu Shiba. The first, centered around Kaoru Hanayama, launched all the way back in 2005.

Given that the anime series is now more than halfway through the original Baki manga, it seems obvious that these spinoffs would offer fertile ground for adaptation. Perhaps the next move would be to pivot to culinary content with the story about Doppo Orochi searching for good food and beer.
