The long-awaited next chapter in the Xenoverse saga is finally official. Bandai Namco and the Dragon Ball games team announced today at "Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026" that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 is in development for a 2027 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Moving away from the traditional time-traveling "Time Patrol" aesthetics of previous entries, Xenoverse 3 shifts its focus to AGE 1000. This futuristic era features a sprawling, technologically advanced version of West City. In a surprising twist on the series' custom character formula, players will suit up as members of the GS Squad (Great Saiya Squad), a superhero-themed initiative inspired by Gohan’s "Great Saiyaman" persona.
The project was first teased earlier this year under the mysterious codename "AGE 1000," leaving fans to speculate on the timeline. With the full reveal now live, a new trailer has been released showcasing a vibrant, bustling metropolis and a glimpse at the updated engine. While fans will have to wait until 2027 to jump into the action, the shift toward a more focused, futuristic setting suggests a bold new direction for the beloved franchise.
