Dr. STONE is getting another anime, pushing the adaptation all the way to the end of the source material.

The new series was unveiled at the STONE FES 2026 event on October 10. As original creator Riichiro Inagaki remarked in his comment, this event was meant to function as a send off for the anime following the third cour of Science Future, but Senku's story technically isn't over yet. Even though the manga ended in March 2022, it returned in July 2022 for a special one-shot with the subtitle Terraforming.

The description for the announcement trailer above confirms that this is what the new anime will adapt. Now the question is: will 4D Science also get a fair shake?
