Evangelion is turning 30, and JR Central is giving fans a fun reason to take the train to Osaka for the big anniversary exhibition. Starting October 18, 2026, bullet train riders can listen to a special Evangelion voice drama streaming exclusively onboard the Tokaido Shinkansen.
The short side story follows Misato and Ritsuko traveling ahead to scout out a potential school trip for the Eva pilots. Passengers can tune in straight from their phones during the ride, unlocked as soon as onboard GPS confirms the train is moving at high speed.
Anyone who checks out the drama during their journey can score a free collectible acrylic keychain. After completing a short survey on the campaign page to get a digital boarding pass, riders can pick up their gift at Hirakata Park or EVANGELION STORE OSAKA. The campaign runs through January 31, 2027, making it a great bonus perk for anyone making the trip out to the "ALL OF EVANGELION" exhibition.
