Game Freak hosted its debut stream for Ame Nochi Hare Onna, providing an extended look at the project directed and produced by Shigeru Ohmori. Built around a real-time weather integration system linked to live weather reports across Japan, the title tasks players with restoring fair weather using "laundry game" mechanics.

Gameplay revolves around magical girls known as "Hare Onna" who suit up in combat garments called “Haregi” to fight altered weather anomalies. Soiled gear requires active maintenance through the game's laundry mechanics post-battle. The broadcast showcased initial in-game UI layouts alongside main cast reveals including Himawari Harewatari, voiced by Hiyori Kono.

While Game Freak will not host a playable demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026, the developer plans an immersive booth presence featuring a physical replica of the in-game clubroom and themed promotional materials, including detergent samples and an limited edition exclusive homage magazine that calls back to the company's roots titled Game Freak REBOOT.
