Ryu Fujisaki's fantasy series Hoshin Engi (also known as Soul Hunter) is celebrating 30 years since its 1996 debut in Weekly Shonen Jump with its first large-scale original art exhibition, scheduled for Spring 2027.
The "Hoshin Engi Exhibition" will display hand-drawn original manuscripts alongside interactive displays, photo spots, and exclusive merchandise. Fujisaki released a new teaser illustration (seen above) and a message expressing his surprise at the milestone, noting that "living a long life really pays off."
Anniversary events kick off immediately on the official site with the “Senkai General Election” character poll running through October 25, daily X updates via the “Mainichi Hoshin” campaign, and archival “Hoshin Engi Hidden Encyclopedia” feature pages uploaded sequentially.
In addition, digital platforms Shonen Jump+, Zebrack, and Yanjan+ will be releasing all 204 chapters of Houshin Engi for free in sequential batches running through April 2027.
