Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a new free update based on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, the follow-up to the acclaimed 2022 anime series by Studio Trigger.
Details in the initial announcement were scarce, save for a new illustration of the player character V standing back-to-back with Weak Kingsley from Edgerunners 2, but a content creator accidentally leaked some details early. The new additions apparently include two new side quests, the ability to dual wield select weapons, as well as a radio station that exclusively features tracks from the Edgerunners anime (both seasons).
CD Projekt Red shipped a similar update in 2022 that included David's iconic jacket, among other features. It would be no exaggeration to say that Trigger's series saved the reputation of the game and gave it a new lease of life following a less than ideal launch. Season two launched on Netflix yesterday.
