
Following the global success of Nintendo's joint offerings with Universal Studios theme park locations worldwide through Super Nintendo World, the development of a new interactive Pokémon experience was announced today. Shared via press release, the project will launch first at Universal Studios Japan, and later expand to Universal Studios' Florida location.

While details about what this experience entails, whether that be a new area addition to the park or an expansion to pre-existing collaborative efforts, remain scarce, given the scale of the announcement and the phrasing of "a hyper-realistic experience that stimulates all five senses," – fans are hopeful for the former.
This announcement comes just days before the opening of PokéPark KANTO, which is scheduled to open in Tokyo on February 5, 2026. Though the Universal Studios announcement has no relation to PokéPark, it shows The Pokémon Company's desire to expand beyond its current lineup of offerings into more physically tangible experiences.
