
Japanese convenience store giant FamilyMart has announced the appointment of NIGO®︎ as the chain's new Creative Director. In the announcement, FamilyMart shares the move aims to expand the brand’s cultural and creative footprint both in Japan and globally.
Under the new partnership, NIGO®︎, who is best known as the founder of BAPE and his more recent ventures through HUMAN MADE, will be positioned to take lead on creative oversight for next-generation store concepts, strategic product categories, and marketing initiatives. He will also play a significant role in developing digital signage experiences through the chain’s FamilyMart Vision platform.
In official comments, NIGO®︎ said he is honored to collaborate with FamilyMart and hopes to bring joy to everyday life for people in Japan and around the world through this role. FamilyMart’s president, Kensuke Hosomi, described the partnership as a milestone for the company’s vision of evolving beyond traditional convenience, aiming to deepen and globalize the brand’s identity with NIGO®︎’s cultural insight.
