Osamu Akimoto's KochiKame has unveiled a massive searchable database containing 100 volumes of the series, with more to be added.
The database is part of KochiKame's 50th anniversary celebrations. Earlier this year, the festivities kicked off with a new anime announcement, a manuscript exhibition at the series' museum, as well as a simulation game developed by Kairosoft. Despite officially ending serialization in 2016, several new chapters have also been published in Saikyo Jump as part of campaign themed around "play," including one where Ryo and friends go bowling.

Indeed, the KochiKame database was announced alongside the fact that the series would also be publishing a new chapter in Weekly Shonen Jump for the first time since 2025. What's more, two new collected volumes will be released one after another in September and October. As the blog post admits, this is highly unusual for a manga that has supposedly ended serialization.
The absurd nature of KochiKame, as well as its mind boggling length, is on full display when using the database. You can basically search any word or phrase over two characters and a panel containing it will come up, alongside the volume and chapter number. For now, volumes one through 100 have been scanned and loaded into the system, with the end goal being to add all 203 at some point.
