Japanese rock trio Mrs. GREEN APPLE revealed at a press conference Monday night in Tokyo its plans to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its major debut in 2025, including its first headlining shows in South Korea and a two-day solo concert in Yokohama scheduled for late July.
The press conference, held from Tokyo Node hall on the 46th floor of the Toranomon Hills Station Tower, found the members of the band sharing an array of news regarding its 10th anniversary. Mrs. GREEN APPLE formed in 2013, and signed with EMI Records in 2015. All of the announcements were included in a video uploaded to YouTube.
Among the group’s plans, Mrs. GREEN APPLE will play its first headlining shows in South Korea on February 15 and 16 at the Tiger Dome in Seoul. Later in the year, the trio will hold a pair of shows on July 26 and 27 at Yokohama’s Yamashita Pier with expected capacity combined to reach 100,000 viewers.
The group also said it will release its first best-of album titled 10 on July 8. Mrs. GREEN APPLE also shared news about various pop-up events, exhibitions and a documentary film slated for release in 2024. More details about those will come out in the near future.
The press conference ended with a video announcing “BABEL no TOH,” with details unclear but potentially relating to live shows set to be held in the fall and winter of 2025.
