Khara to create new theatrical Space Battleship Yamato animated film

During a 50th anniversary screening and talk event for the series Space Battleship Yamato, Hideaki Anno revealed that his company, Khara, has acquired the rights to make a theatrical animated film based on the property. According to the statement given by Anno, the new film is slated to begin production in 2025.
