A public phone booth in Tokyo’s Jimbocho neighborhood has unexpectedly become a hotspot, with fans lining up, taking photos, and leaving flowers behind. The reason is Chainsaw Man. Many believe the booth was the real-life inspiration for a key scene in the Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie, where Denji meets Reze and gives her a single daisy.
Since the film’s release in September 2025, which went on to draw more than 6.5 million viewers and cross ¥10 billion at the box office, fans have been visiting the area as part of a growing “pilgrimage.” Dozens of flowers have been spotted inside the booth, and the location has even picked up attention from overseas fans on social media.
As reported by J-Cast, not everyone immediately understood what was happening, with some passersby confused by the flowers and crowds. NTT East, which operates the phone booth, says it appreciates the interest sparked by the film but reminds visitors that these phones are intended for public use. The company asks fans to be considerate and to take flowers and personal items home instead of leaving them behind.
