BANDAI has released 2 new retail kits in the Gunpla range today with the HG GQuuuuuuX and EG Strike Rouge hitting stores across Japan. While both are in the brand's 1/144 scale, the level of detail and complexity on both couldn't be more different. Let's take a look.
The first Gunpla model kit from the khara-led Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX has been released today alongside the series theatrical debut. The gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX comes in the brand's standard HG (High Grade) 1/144 scale but don't let that fool you, this kit looks like an extremely quality build. The slender framed kit features a massive range of motion which offers a ton of positing options, especially when paired with an action base. In addition it also comes with an alternate head, hands, and several accessories for more customization.
The latest model in the Entry Grade Gunpla line for new builders with the concept of "easy assembly ╳ high quality". The Strike Rouge is a popular mobile suit from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series and its striking color design makes it a combination of sharp angular design with striking color contrast makes it an excellent early shelf piece for new collectors. For long-time builders looking to get into more customization techniques such as scribing this is also a cheap (¥880!) and cool looking kit to sink your teeth into.
Both kits are available at major retailers and online shops starting today, although with the hype around GQuuuuuuX we could foresee there being a ton of demand.
