Studio MAPPA held a livestream on June 19 for its 15th anniversary, revealing a stacked slate of upcoming anime.
In addition to new information on previously confirmed continuations such as Ranma 1/2 and Dorohedero, there were a fair few surprises during the livestream. Chief among them being Jimoto Saiko: an adaptation of usagi's webcomic that depicts drug use and cultivation in the countryside. Netflix will stream the anime.
Another stand out was Fall in Love, You False Angels. While the news that Coco Uzuki's romance manga would be getting an anime already broke on June 12, the fact that MAPPA would be handling the production was unknown up until this point. The same could be said for BEAT&MOTION, which won the Million Tag competition all the way back in 2021.
Even so, by far the biggest announcements from the livestream were Chainsaw Man – Assassins Arc and Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4: The Culling Game Part 2. Both of the teasers for these series stand hands and shoulders above the rest with 4.9 and 10 million views respectively, cementing their central place within the studio's line-up.
