Kodansha has made their English language version of "Magazine Pocket" called "K MANGA" available in Japan. The campaign is being promoted as a means of studying English by reading manga and interacting with readers from overseas. This move is proving to be a baffling one to some international manga readers as the service is still blocked in some territories.
The service still operates on the same points system as elsewhere in the world, but includes a global commenting option. To celebrate the launch a contest is being held on X which will reward 5 winners with 2 months of DMM's English Communication Lessons, and 10 winners with 1000 points to use on K MANGA.
