Comic Cmoa, Japan's biggest manga site, is currently down following a suspected security breach.
The announcement came just hours after Burger King Japan reported a similar incident where the personal information of over 11 million customers was lost. Cmoa noted that the possibility of a breach is still not confirmed, but has chosen to take down the website anyway while investigations are carried out. scrmbl was able to confirm that users are still able to access any downloaded material through the mobile app.
Generative AI has upped the ante on cybersecurity as of late, given that LLMs are able to parse systems with relative ease and even reverse engineer certain technologies. As a result, this incident is unlikely to be the last, especially when considering Japan's weak information infrastructure.
